Новосибирский государственный технический университет – это многопрофильный университет, один из крупнейших вузов Сибири, который обладает статусом регионального опорного университета. НГТУ создает технологические и общественные практики новых эпох развития и воспитывает лидеров. НГТУ – это более 13 000 студентов, в числе которых 2 835 иностранных обучающихся из 30 стран мира, 65 лабораторий и учебно-научных центров, 3 160 504 экземпляров в библиотечном фонде и 14 280 м² спортивных площадей.

НГТУ – это базовый университет Университета Шанхайской организации сотрудничества по направлению «Энергетика», член Консорциума вузов-экспортеров российского образования, Ассоциации технических университетов России и Китая (АТУРК), Ассоциации вузов восточных регионов России и Китая (АВРИК). В связи с этим Новосибирский государственный технический университет является одним из лидеров в России по числу иностранных обучающихся.

Иностранные граждане из Азербайджана, Армении, Грузии, Беларуси, Казахстана, Киргизии Молдовы, Таджикистана, Туркменистана, Узбекистана, Украины, а также соотечественники за рубежоммогут обучаться в НГТУ на бюджетной основе. Граждане других стран с визовым въездом в Россию имеют возможность поступить в НГТУ на контрактное обучение.

С вниманием продуман кампус НГТУ. Студенческий городок состоит из 8 общежитий (одно из которых повышенной комфортности), Центра культуры, современной библиотеки, спорткомплекса с бассейном и даже боулинга. Общежития располагаются рядом со станцией метро. Общих кухонь в общежитиях нет. Комнаты укомплектованы необходимой мебелью, есть точка доступа в интернет.

The Novosibirsk State Technical University is a flagship university in Russia. NSTU is one of the largest and leading universities in Siberia. NSTU offer about 100 programs of study in technical, economic, and humanitarian fields at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph. D., and post-doctoral levels. Approximately 1500 faculty members and employees work at the university. Total number of enrolled students exceeds 13 thousand. In NSTU innovation projects related to engineering education and innovative infrastructure are supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. In 2014 NSTU was awarded 5 Stars by QS Stars university ranking for innovation.

NSTU has a long tradition of international cooperation and teaching international students. Regular enrollment of international students started in 1978. NSTU has alumni from Germany, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Bulgaria, Cuba, Vietnam, Mongolia, China, Brazil, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, India, Lithuania, CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States), Ghana, Nigeria and other countries. Every year more than 500 international students enter NSTU. Today, citizens of 28 countries are NSTU students. DAAD and Goethe Institute offices, German and French сenters, «East-West» Center, Confucius Institute have been opened at the university. Students learn English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

The campus of the NSTU is conveniently located near the public transport stop “Subway station “Studencheskaya” which provides an easy access to any district of Novosibirsk by bus, trolley bus or subway. 8 student dormitories, as well as a dormitory for postgraduate students and young scientists are compactly situated within walking distance from the university. Foreign students live in the dormitory for international students (with a shower in each residential unit, the shared kitchen and laundry on each floor (for 12 residential units). In total, NSTU dormitories can accommodate more than 4000 people. The dormitories are located in immediate proximity to Prospekt Karla Marksa, the main avenue of the left bank of Novosibirsk, where the students can enjoy a number of useful and entertaining places, such as gyms, shops, restaurants, cafes, cinemas and bowling.
